WIW - Leap Day in Leopard Print Suit

Angie's going to be mad at me because she specifically instructed me to liven this "suit" up with different colored shoes, top and possibly a belt. While I'm sure I could have put together a much nicer outfit had I followed her advice, I chose the path of least resistance this morning.

Sandro Jacket from TJ Maxx
leopard print skirt from Nordies
Fishnets from Target
Kate & Kelly booties

Happy Leap Day!

Well you're talking to the black and grey girl here, so I absolutely love this! And the booties are the perfect finishing touch.

Leaping Leopards! Very chic! If it makes you feel better, I'm wearing all black and white today myself (I'll post tonght). I'm feeling very bold -- letting the structure and contrast carry the outfit, instead of relying on color, as I so often do. And somehow I think Angie would say you look fab, Amy! The contrast piping and banded collar are to die for in the jacket! The booties keep the edge.

Well I think you look fantastic. No need to have wearers remorse over what could have been when you still look this good.

Those booties are so awesome. You could wear anything with those booties and I would love it!!

That skirt is a brilliant piece. Break that beauty up from the suit and rock it with a denim blouse.

I love this suit! It looks great this way, and another time you can follow her advice to give it a different look. It fits you like a dream....I don't remember you getting this. Did you find it in the back of your closet during the "Great Closet Cleanout and Redo"? Anyway, you look fabulous today!

Plenty of time for color in spring. A denim shirt would be killer - Heather has a great idea :) For now, enjoy the turtleneck and booties because you rock the suit.

Ooh, looking mighty fine in the suit! You can definitely go even "wilder" with colour next time, but this is perfectly chic for celebrating Leap Day! :D

I love this outfit, Amy! The booties and hose look amazing :)

    (Aren't I full of surprises).

The question is, how do YOU feel wearing neutrals from head to toe?

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

You look perfectly lovely. Just lovely and I LIKE black and gray!

Thanks, Ladies! I feel pretty good in this outfit.

I like the idea of a denim shirt, but I can't wear that to the office, so that will have to wait for another opportunity.

Amy you're so beautiful! I love the suit as well! It really goes very well with your colouring!

You look really chic and full of awesomeness in this suit! Lots of personality, and may I say that it's great to see a WIW from you--I have missed seeing your spunky self.

  • Amy replied 12 years ago

    Thank you!

Jonesy, I've missed you ladies too :)

  • AJ replied 12 years ago

Let me get this straight....the blazer and skirt came from two different stores but they are a matching set?!

Is that a black belt from the jacket that is hanging down your sides?

I LUV this outfit! The fit is fab and you look awesome!

You look great. I thought from the picture that the jacket and skirt matched as a suit but I see they are different makers. They look perfect together. I love the fishnets and booties too. Your great haircut tops it off!

  • Amy replied 12 years ago

AJ, you're right...two different manufacturers, the same or nearly the same fabric. The scale of the print on the skirt is *slightly* different, but not enough to bother me.

yes, that's a belt hanging down. I suppose it looks a bit messy, but I don't really like to button up the jacket and the belt loops look weird when empty.
