WIW - Day 4 of Inspired by Nature Challenge

Day 4: Misty River

I found this challenge the hardest of all. I don't have many clothes in soft colors like those in the photo. I'm usually drawn to items with high contrast.

I *really* wanted to wear something in soft shades of green and gray, preferably in chiffon...

However, I made do with what I had and dressed in shades of grey. Perhaps the dots on my homemade top could represent water bubbles. Stretching here...

I wore fishnets to add some texture, because there is a lot of textural interest in this photo.

Bella, thank you so much for organizing this! I'm having a GREAT time, am feeling inspired by everyone's efforts, and don't want it to end :)

You are free to interpret the paintings as you wish. This outfit screams "Amy" and looks divine! Dots that represent bubbles works for me :)

I hope that your Dad is doing okay. Thinking of him.

    Thanks Kiwichik & Angie.

I just got a report on my father, Angie, and he's doing well. Thanks for your concern!

You've been so creative with the "artwork" this week -- I'm amazed! I think the effect is quite soft, actually. I love abstract prints -- I just bought a top in similar colors today!

Beautiful, Amy. Even if you felt you had a hard time with this one, it doesn't show. The muted colors, the misty gray in the blouse, and even the smoky tights definitely evoke "misty" water rippling over rocks in my mind. I love the sheen of the handbag too.

    Thanks gals :)

Ha! Lyn! What's this warmer weather you speak of? We do have what passes for spring weather here: 5 seconds of sun, rains howers with a little wind...a teaser of sunlight and some birdsong and then more rain showers. It's warmer than winter, but damp and easy to get chilled.
