WIW - Day 5 of Inspired by Nature Challenge

Turtles

I tried to mimic the warm tones in the photo.

In one of my recent outfits, some of you suggested I try wearing a belt over my sweater instead of under.

I tried.

Am I just not cut out for this way of styling items or am I just not doing something right?

    And another fab look

    You look great!

Actually I like the blousson effect that the belt creates, Amy. Nice pattern mixing too. I am changing your F grade to a solid A.

I really like your look. The colours and proportions of the clothes are all really flattering!

I agree with Angie -- the belt looks great! Maybe you just need to wear a belted cardigan around for a day and see how you feel? I know it took me a little while to adjust to how a belt looked on me, but now I love belting:) And perhaps you could experiment with belts of different widths? That also helped me acclimate to belts.

I love the outfits Amy. I don't tend to belt on top much but what if you try belting underneath the cardi? I love the " fail belt" stamp on the second pic. Too funny!

You are too funny! I agree with you about the belt. To me, it looks bulky. I might like it underneath, like Meredith suggested....Cute outfit!

I think it's nice both with and without the belt. If you're not comfy in it, though, fair enough. :-) FWIW, I only really like the belt-over-cardi on myself if the cardi is V-neck. Crew necks just seem to flap around oddly with a belt. Maybe you'd prefer trying that?
