WIW 01/11/13 - Handmade Friday

I've missed most of the week due to migraines, but I'm back to work today. It's cold out, so I pulled out a handknit sweater, my Brooks Brothers blouse, Martin trousers and added a pair of handmade earrings.

Yay! I'm glad to see the handknits coming out to play. I love the color of the sweater on you.

And Angie told me to wear my handknit sweaters layered over a blouse with my new Martin trousers too, so I'd say you're right on target!

Amy, that shade of green looks lovely on you. I love how you've combined the sweater with the white button up and trousers. The earrings complete the look.

The proportions of this outfit are just excellent. So flattering! Totally inspired by your sweater. I love to knit, but I'm never happy with the fit of any sweaters I have completed. Maybe I need to start another for the new year.

You look so great, as always. And your knitting skills are so impressive. That green shade is definitely a good one on you. Lovely outfit!!

As a fellow migraine sufferer, may you remain pain free for the foreseeable future!

Love the color on you and as I can't knit a stitch so I am jealous that you were able to create something so beautiful.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

Good grief. Green is your colour. Wear it more often :)

Hope your migraines behave themselves. Or we might need to punch the living out of them for you.

  • Mochi replied 11 years ago

LOVE that sweater. Love love love, by itself and as part of the outfit. And you made it, hoo boy. As has been mentioned ad infinitum, this color is so gorgeous on you.

You do so many styles well--whimsical, theatrical, arty, vintage...but classic and crisp really well, too!

  • replied 11 years ago

I think the proportions here are spot on, so flattering! I hope you feel better soon!

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

Ugh, migraines! They are the absolute worst! I feel your pain there, and I really hope they stay away.

Perhaps your lovely outfit will drive them off. Everything looks perfect to my eye, esepcially the color of the sweater, and I love the white shirt under it!

You look amazing in that sweater. The green is beautiful on you. It must really feel like an accomplishment to wear something so exquisite that you made yourself.

  • ironkurtin replied 11 years ago

Is there nothing you can't do? I suppose you made the earrings as well. Well, you certainly chose the most delightful green for your items. Love the cozy sweater as well. I sure hope you feel better. *virtual hugs and tea*

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

Thank you! All these nice comments are going to my head :)

Claire, yes I made the earrings. There are lots of things I can't do, unfortunately, like retelling jokes and singing ;)

  • Beth Ann replied 11 years ago

Beautiful color and texture, and the fit of the pants is amazing. You look beautiful, even if you feel a little under the weather.

I agree that green is terrific on you. This sweater would work well with skirts, too.
