WIW 12/27 - This top makes me crave lemon meringue

Another trousers outfit. Your suggestions for improvement are always welcome and much appreciated!

I suspect this top is a little bit on the small side, since it won't stay put over my hips, but I was taken in by the bright and cheery color. I've made worse purchasing mistakes.

These are beautiful grey wool pants. I just let down the hem another inch and they felt gloriously swingy and fun.

Super cute, especially with the shoes. I love light gray and yellow together. Yummy!

Love the color and collar of your sweater.

Oh this is beautiful Amy. I love that style of collar--can't think what it's called, but it's really flattering with the length of your hair.

Well, I think we've found your color! Looks great - shame about the snugness through the hips though - I hate it when my tops ride up...but now you need to whip up some knock-off tops. ;-)

This looks lovely. The color of the top is beautiful on you Amy.

I love that collar on you! so flattering. The color is beautiful as well. Even if the fit isn't perfect I think it looks lovely over all.

Love the portrait collar! And I think you're a great advertisement for the fabness of wide legs!

As for the fit of the top, I've noticed that when knits have too much 4-way stretch, they seem to slink up on me, even when I've sized WAY up. I need to investigate.....conduct a YLF study with a double-blind design.......

    You look terrific!

I love grey and yellow together. You look great, Amy!

    How pretty!

If you want to add some visual length to the top portion, I would layer a white button down under the sweater. I think that bandeau neckline would look awesome over a button down shirt, buttoned all the way to the top! Add a short necklace and voila! Super fashion forward!

LOVE you in that neckline!!! You look terrifically retro and modern.

Me, too (craving a lemon meringue:-). I SO love this citronesque outfit on you Amy, as all of Angie's, too! Also love the two tone brogue shoes. Grey is the best with this happy colour for sure! You can try with a grey pencil, too!

Thank you! I might see if I can find a larger version of this top. I like the color and neckline a lot.

No improvement needed Amy - and that lemon colour is delicious on you! As others have pointed out, that neckline shape is fabulous.
