WIW 11.11.13 - Running Out the Door

Our power was out this weekend, so things like alarm clocks got out of whack. I woke up only 20 minutes before I had to be on the bus, so this was a very rushed morning. I hope I don't look too...discomposed...today.

Comments and suggestions are always appreciated. Thank you!

Jacket: asos

I'd never guess you got out the door so fast! You look composed and ready to me. :) I like how the midtone in the jacket bookends the same of the shoes.

How did you get out the door *and* take a picture in 20 minutes? I like those colors together.

Someone else at a party last night told me their power was out. What was that about? It wasn't windy.

My camera is set up in one spot, so I only have to click the remote and go :)

Marmee, it was fairly windy in our neighborhood and the rain was heavy. There are a lot of overgrown/unpruned trees around, unfortunately.

    Thanks, ladies.

Love how the ruffles add textural interest to this. I always feel ridiculous in ruffles but this looks fab on you. Love the blazer. You always look so good, Amy!

20 minutes?  That's A-mazing.  As in, I give you an A for fabness and preparedness.  I've always loved this jacket, and the color palette is rich and flattering, which I've come to expect from you.  The pants are lovely and fluid.

What does the jacket look like buttoned?  I think the added "structure" of a buttoned jacket would be great with the fluid underlayer.

We lost power for 28 hours on Labor Day weekend.  I so get the inconvenience, even if it just shuts down the clocks!

Thanks, Beth Ann. The blazer is too snug over my bosom & hips to button :(

Beautiful colors, everything ties in so nicely with that jacket. 20 minutes? I'd still be fussing with my hair.

You look great -- you'd never know you only had 20 min to get ready.

Are you kidding me? It would take me that long just to set up the camera! You look wonderful, right down to your make-up. How do you do it? I love that jacket on you.

    Pretty good for pretty fast.

  • Hil replied 11 years ago

If only I could be ready that fast and look that stylish every morning! Love the plum top!

I like the outfit--count me in as a fan of this top and jacket on you, especially. But I really can't get over the 20 minutes, including getting to the bus stop. I can't even get dressed and out the door in my running clothes in 20 minutes, so I know I couldn't get something presentable on in that time. Amazing job. You deserve an award.

You look divine in spite of the mad rush. The jacket and ruffled top are so lovely and feminine.
