WIW 10.9.13 - Here Kitty Kitty

I'm forcing myself to post daily outfit pics even on days when things don't work out quite as I had hoped. I've set a new goal to replace some items this year that I like in theory, but don't necessarily work out as well as I'd like in practice.

I love the Gap kitty shirt because I like kitties. It's saved from being too twee because they are silhouettes. The drawback to the shirt? It's a tad bit tight over the hips, which makes tucking it as I have done a little tricky.

I like a white jacket...but is this too short to wear with pants? Perhaps I should look for another one?

Thanks for your feedback!

Love the kitty shirt--it doesn't look at all twee because you can't even tell they are kitties unless you are up close. I'm not very good with jacket lengths but the outfit looks great to me. I'm excited to read you are doing daily outfit posts because I love your style!

I like the outfit too.  I don't find anything wrong with the jacket length?

I love the burgundy shoes peeking out of the pants.  So cute!

    Thanks, you two!

This is great. I like the *red* shoes :)

    Love this!

I think you look great! The shirt looks just fine tucked in and I'm no expert on jacket lengths, but the white jacket looks good to me.

The shirt doesn't *look* tricky, everything works really well to my eye.

I think everything looks great. I have the Gap kitty shirt in pink, and twee or not, I love it!

I like it too! The only thing that's missing to my eye? A lighter handbag. Or maybe a colored handbag. What did you carry with it?

Oh wow, is that kitty print in stores now? My friend has to have that! I looked online and couldn't see anything like it.

This is super! I think you look terrific, Amy. Admittedly, I have a soft spot for kitties, too. But I like this even without knowing what the print is.

Thanks, ladies. I think it's ok, but it's kind of uncomfortable. The jacket sleeves are really too tight to layer over a shirt like this.

Peri, I bought the shirt in the spring, so I don't think it's around any longer.

K, I don't have many handbags. I'll have to add a lighter colored one to my collection someday.

I really like the jacket length - YLF.

The pattern is great - it doesn't read as kitties unless you really think about it. But it sounds uncomfortable. I think the jacket length works here.

This is modern with a side of retro -- I think the wide leg trousers work well with shorter, feminine jackets.  I was wishing for a white jacket yesterday!

Kitties add of bit of whimsy while being ready-for-work.

I'm sorry it's not entirely comfortable, but you look great!

I think you look great! The jacket brings out the light parts in the shirt and creates a nice balance. Such a fun shirt:-)
Just an idea, would it help to make side slits into the shirt? That part would be tucked and it would give you some more room. Just a thought, I know you are a talented seamstress.
