I feel like I'm going to the prom, lol.
Going to a cocktail party at the Seattle Aquarium with my husband and his work mates.
I tried the snakeskin pumps Jenava recommended in another post, but the tone was off, sadly. They would have been much more fun than these beige pumps.
I couldn't find a clutch I liked either, but I'll keep looking.

Beautiful! Great cut for you...very flattering. You've inspired me to wear my long double strand of pearls. Haven't worn them in ages, but they look so fab on you I'll have to get my huband to take me out to dinner this weekend so I can wear them. Have fun tonight!

I am not sure that any woman wearing those exact same pieces could look as radiant and HAPPY as you do. I LOVE the coat and gloves -- unexpected silhouette . This is a perfect example of you wearing the pieces and owning them rather than when people letting the pieces wear them. I'm curious to know what reactions you experienced as a result. This is lovely!

I had the best time last night! I've never been to a "real" cocktail party either, but it was so much fun. I'm pleased to report that I was not overdressed at all. My husband cleaned up real nice too. I only wish he hadn't left it until the last minute so I could have snapped a picture of him too :)

Glad you had fun because you were rockin that dress. It has the coolest shape and lovely color. Night time events at aquariums are pretty neat (well I have been to two but they were both cool - the lights dimmed and reflections off the tanks were great).

That dress could have been made for you - the colour is lovely with your hair and skin, the shape shows off your lovely figure and it looks like you felt great wearing it! I think the shoes were a perfect choice to ensure the dress remained the focus.
So glad you had a nice time. Tell hubby you have a taste for cocktail parties now, and he needs to take you to a few more :)
