WIW 10.16.13 - Running Late

I would have made some changes to this outfit if I had had more time this morning, but I was running late. It's not a complete fail, but I don't feel fab in it. (The white top has a lot of loose threads, the booties are too bright, and I just don't like a sharp contrast in color from my top to my bottom)

Jacket: White House Black Market
Top: H&M
Pants: Lafayette 148
Boots: Report

Oh, you and Natalie are jacket twins! It looks great on you too. I hear you on sharp contrast between top and bottom. This looks nice on you, but I have a hard time with that look myself.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. I like the bright white - I think it makes the whole outfit really graphic. And I have to say, I am really buying into this navy-white-black combo I am seeing a lot of. I really, really like that.I can't see the boots well so can't comment on their brightness but from the ankles up I like what you have going on! And that white top looks really interesting (although I have a similar hatred of errant threads). Hope you are feeling more fab as the day goes on. And PS every time I see a picture of you, I love your hair even more. It's gorgeous.

I'm with viva and I see beautiful symmetry and simplicity in these three colors that go so well together.  Modern and fresh in my book!

Amy, I have always loved that jacket on you. So as far as I'm concerned, you look great!

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with this outfit. I think you look great.

The booties looks navy to me. I think this is a great outfit for being short on time. You look polished and pretty. I can see how a few tweaks could take it from good to great though. Nothing wrong with this at all--pretty darn fab!

The standards at YLF are sky high for newbies like me!  If this is not fab what is?!  :D

Love the jacket.  Navy, white and black can never be a fail!  AND those pants are a great fit :)

Thanks, ladies. I think I was just feeling harried this morning. The outfit is growing on me.

Your outfit is fabulous. You cannot really see the contrast between the sweater and pants because that wonderful jacket is creating a long line from the outside of your body.
You look like a tall glass of water( or other more interesting beverage of your choice)

I think it looks fab - the jacket is amazing on you.

Trust your instincts, this looks great!  the booties with the jacket bookend perfectly.  I might have added a long silver pendant, but seriously this is wonderful as is.  Don't be so hard on yourself, you look fab!!

Nice idea, Deb! I'll have to try that.

Viva, I'll need to tell my hair dresser about your nice comment. She's a magician with scissors and hair dye :)

I am viewing from my phone, but I think this looks nice. It's got the chic black-white-cobalt thing going on.

The way your white shirt drapes is divine. You look great, Amy!

Agree that it was probably feeling harried rather than the outfit that made you feel unsure. I agree with everyone that you look super!

What Celia said. You look beautiful!
