WIW 10.15.13 - Inspired by MaryK & DayVies

Thanks MaryK & Day Vies for the inspiration! I borrowed Mary's color palette and Day Vies' style of wearing a button down under a cardi to put together this comfortable work day outfit. I'm pretty happy with it.

And hey, it's almost an orange and blue outfit a la Angie's blog post today :) Is gold considered orange or yellow? Or both?

Sweater - Cable & Gauge
Blouse & Necklace - Made by me
Pants - BR Martins

It's always interesting to hear what inspired an outfit!  You did a great job of bringing inspiration into real life!  The fits here are great, too, which gives the look a relaxed polish.

Amy, great interpretation.  You have taken two looks and made them your own in a fabulous way.  I really like the strong mustard color with the chambray blue.

Excellent colors on you, Amy, and inspiration, too.  This place is a treasure on a daily basis.

Fabulous, Amy! You look lovely in that golden with the blue. And what a great job of bringing two outfits together for your own very personal take.

It's DARLING! I love the dark brown accents (never would have thought of that! -- note to self) Gold with shades of blue is yummy! I like the tension between the lighter cooler blue and the warmth of the gold sweater.

Sure we'll count this one as orange we'll call it yellow-orange (like the crayon ;))

Great take on the inspirations! I love the color combo of your sweater and blue shirt.... and did I read that right? Your sewed your blouse! Amazing! :)

  • celia replied 10 years ago

You were very smart Amy, the combination of the two looks very good on you.
I don't know if that is yellow or orange(maybe a bit of both I guess) but it looks amazing on you.

Thanks, ladies! You're so kind :)

    YLF.

Amy, you look great in these trousers, and I see zero frump-factor on my computer screen (you mentioned that challenge in the blog comments). And that's mustard to my eye.

And I definately see a similarity in styles between you, Mary and Da Vies. I'm sure you will inspire each other.
