WIW 01/22/2013 - Fast Fall Back Outfit

I had an outfit planned for today, using my recently purchased rugby stripe sweater. Unfortunately, when I went to put it on, I noticed the neckline was coming unraveled. I put some safety pins in it to stop it from falling apart any further, and don't know if I can repair it satisfactorily. I'm steamed about that. I only wore it once!

I had to throw on something quick and decided on an outfit I've worn on multiple other occasions during the past year.

Jacket: Vince Camuto
Silk Flower pin
Red top - sewn by me
Trousers: Lafayette 148
Shoes: Crown Vintage

You got me with the trim matching your shoes! Fallback can be fantastic and is here.

There you go with my favourite tri-colour combo - black, red and white! Love the cropped jacket on you Amy - very Chanel.

Are you growing your hair out? It looks fab.

    KILLER

And it looked even better in person :)

Looks great, and those shoes are amazing! Reminds me of Angie's post about rewearing outfits. If you look great in it, and you do, you should totally wear it again!

Those shoes are the icing on the cake!

Love this look --- the details in the jacket and the shoes play nicely with the bold blocks of black and red. And its a good reminder to write down my FFBO. My mind is way to foggy in the mornings to leave things to chance!

    Great fall-back Amy!!

What are your shoes, if I may ask? I know you have showed them to us earlier but now I have forgotten.

Love this look on you Amy. Thats a fantastic jacket. Also great to see that someone still sews. I have to admit that as I'm now retired and lead a casual lifestyle and the clothing I need can mostly be bought reasonable cheaply I haven't made clothes for a long time.

Lucky girl! FFBO but ever so polished and true to your style! Love this, and YLF in your colours Amy, shoes are awesome, too!:-)

This definitely should be your FFBO--you look so fab. Love the crisp structure, the black and white jacket trim matching your fab shoes, and the pop of red...my favorite color combo (black/white/red). You look like you mean business! So polished and chic. Angie is right--killer!

This is fab! Love the shoes, of course.
I'm so sorry about your new sweater. That kind of thing really makes me upset.

How annoying about the top Amy, I can't stand poor workmanship. Suffice to say your FFBO looks great. Love the way your shoes echo the two tones in the jacket.

  • Glory replied 11 years ago

I love this on you - the jacket is fantastic. Also noticing the draft stopper and realizing this would be a great addition to a few of my doors! :)

  • memel replied 11 years ago

Love it... You look beautiful, like a magasin add..

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

Thanks everyone! Those shoes were my best purchase ever, lol.Unfortunately, they're starting to show signs of wear.
