My Face Really Isn't Purple...but My Jacket is That Bright

Meet my screamingly bright vermillion jacket...I bought it at the Gap last night while waiting for my extremely sloooooooooooow son to try on four pairs of pants (it took an hour). My daughter was so bored she rearranged all the lip gloss at the frount counter and was offered a job. She declined because she's only 8, lol.

Very nice color! Sounds like your daughter is all set for her future summer job. :)

Nice to meet you Vermillion! You are too funny and look like a million in it! That's a perfect top for it, I think.

Love hearing your stories about your children; I can just picture the scene. Patience, Mom!

Ooohhhh....I think this is the same Gap jacket I have Amy! Isn't it a great colour?

I love that jacket on you! The striped top looks beautiful with it. I was in the Gap the other day and didn't see this jacket. :(

Very pretty! And is that a robot necklace I see? I can tell I would love to play in your closet. Maybe it's not such a bad thing that DS is slow in the fitting room - if you always score like this while waiting!

Well, it certainly looks as if you spent YOUR time well, Mom!!

    Gorgeous!

This BRIGHT color is making me very happy.

Shannon, I'm excited to be your jacket twin :)

Rae, yep, it's a robot necklace. I have a thing for them ;)

Amy, I love that bright color on you. I actually tried a similar blazer recently, and it was lovely, but I just don't think I'd get enough use out of the color with the shades that I typically wear. With you, I can see it really working as a versatile piece.

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

haha, Nicole! I think we'd blind people if we got together wearing our super bright jackets.

I guess I'd better count myself lucky that I can still choose my not-so-little guy's clothes without having him weigh in! He's almost 7 - how much longer do I have?! :) And LOL about your daughter - too funny!

Great jacket on you - what a perfect bright and happy pick-me-up, especially with the dreary (and wacky!) weather we've been having. Looking forward to seeing the whole outfit!

PS - Love the robot! :)

Ha! cute story...love the jacket...it's cute as a button on you!

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

Christy, you may have a lot longer than I did. My son was pretty picky about his clothing choices when he was two...my daughter is just as bad. Why me?

  • MsMary replied 11 years ago

FAB!!! Love it!! Too bad they can't keep the job offer open until your DD is old enough to accept!

  • cheryl replied 11 years ago

Love the jacket and such a cute story about your son and daughter!

Your kids sound as cute as you, Amy! LOVE the new jacket. Super spiffy!
