H&M Military Jacket - Added More Photos

I just bought this H&M Military jacket today. I have always loved these very structured styles. Does it look ok on my figure? Do you like it styled in any of the ways I have pictured below? Suggestions are welcome too.

ETA: See pictures 5-8.

Thanks for the suggestions! Thanks to Suz for the suggestion to try lower contrast tops and bottoms. I think that helps. Also, I felt the pencil skirts + boxy jacket made me look awfully rectangular, so I tried fuller skirts. 5 will work. I can't wear the dress in 6 anymore b/c I've gained too much weight and can't breathe in it. I'll either have to lose weight or sew a larger dress :) Also, thanks for the suggestion to try a simpler top. I keep trying to wear that silk pussy bow blouse and never feel very good in it. It may be time to toss it.

I like it with the red skirt. That punch of colour. But I also like it with the grey. Sophisticated. I say tucked shirt. Military calls for neatness.

OMG -- I fell totally in love with this jacket in the store but they did not have my size or it would have come home with me.

I love it with a tucked shirt best and I think it's best with the skirts, but might work with the pants if you do tuck. Either that or a lower contrast top, might do the trick.

So great to see you again, Amy!

Great jacket! I really like how you have styled it.

I love the jacket on you & with the skirts & boots. My only reservation is the blouse, I would like to see the jacket with a simple top.

Love the jacket, and I like the way you styled it.  My favorite look is gray skirt, blouse tucked in.  The neutral palette lets the little details of the jacket take center stage.   I think the jacket could look great with a higher-waisted pant too.

I love it! Tucked with the skirts looks best, but I bet it would look fine untucked with pants. (That whole longer with pants, shorter with skirts thing.)  Super cute.  And by the way, are you taller? You look super tall super modely today.

Fabulous jacket, love! Another fan of the tucked blouse with skirt, but maybe untucked with a more casual top?

Thanks for the feedback, ladies! Your suggestions are always so helpful!

#4 and #6. I love #6 it looks real fashiony.
LEAST favorite #5, sorry, I actively cringed. I think the waist is just too high.

    Never mind--accidental post

I like #3! You do military looks so well!

    Thank you.

Oh wow - you look so pretty Amy!  #6 is my favorite - I love the feminine dress matched with the strict military jacket.  #4 is my next favorite look - but I'd try it with a simpler top - so that the neckline does not compete with the jacket neckline.  In fact, I would not wear a necklace with this jacket - you don't need it - there is enough going on with the jacket to keep one's interest.  I'm not crazy about the outfits with the pants - I don't think the jacket is hitting you at the right place to wear pants - maybe it needs to be longer?  Also, not real crazy about the polka dot skirt with the jacket - to me, the polka dots, along with the high waist of the skirt, compete with the buttons and line of the military jacket.  If I had this jacket I think I'd experiment and try it with a really girly bottom - like a lace or ruffled skirt and a plain top.

Fabulous jacket. I like it best with the dress and tucked if you're going to wear a skirt and top.
You could try dressing this jacket down with jeans and a white buttondown.
I am sending you a gentle virtual nudge in the direction of chucking the moneypenny blouse.

Amy, you added pictures after I commented - #6 is a wow!

    Love the new versions!

I wonder if you can save the blouse by removing the bow?

What a fantastic jacket for you Amy - and I have to say it is sooooo nice to see you again :) My faves are 3, 4, 6 and 7.

I like it! Would love to see the red skirt with a lower contrast top and the jacket.

Amy, it's so nice to see you posting again!

I think the jacket is great on you. I agree with the others -- I'd just keep the top underneath simple so it doesn't compete.

I'm not a huge fan of PB blouses to begin with, but that one doesn't seem to have a stellar fit on you, so I would also consider letting it go.

I feel the jacket is a keeper for sure. I like 4 and 6 the most but others work as well.
On the blouse - I would try taking off the bow and see if you like it more. If not, someone else is out there waiting to enjoy it.

Thank you for the advice! I'm getting rid of the pussy bow boles and will look foe something better to wear under the jacket. I agree about the trousers. I need to do something to disguise my short torso and wide hips :)
